Terms of Service

Last updated June 2, 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Golbi. They apply to anyone who creates an account, joins an organization, or uses the Golbi service. If you use Golbi on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

Account rules

• You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep it current.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your location, or have a parent or guardian act for you.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Organization responsibilities

Each organization that uses Golbi is responsible for how it runs its programs and handles its members' data. This includes consent, record keeping, child safety, medical information, payment records, and any volunteer or background checks that apply to it.

• Organizations decide what data they collect, who can access it, and how long they keep it.
• Organization administrators are responsible for the roles and permissions they grant to staff and members.
• Organizations must comply with the laws that apply to their activities, including those covering children and personal data.
• Each organization's data is kept separate from other organizations on Golbi.

Acceptable use

Your use of Golbi is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits abuse, illegal activity, harassment, spam, malware, scraping, and child-safety violations. A breach of that policy is a breach of these Terms.

Payments and subscriptions

Organizations collect dues from their members through their own external accounts; Golbi maintains a private dues ledger and does not take custody of those member payments (see the Payment Boundary Policy). Separately, paid Golbi plans are billed to the organization on an auto-renewing monthly subscription as described in the Subscription Billing Terms.

Your content

Organizations and users retain ownership of the content they add to Golbi, including text, files, images, contacts, and records. To operate the service, you grant Golbi a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display that content as needed to provide Golbi to you and the people you authorize. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for backups kept for a limited time or copies required by law.

The service is provided as is

Golbi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every requirement of your organization.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Golbi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to Golbi for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or, where no fee was paid, a limited amount permitted by law.

Ending your use of Golbi

• You may stop using Golbi and close your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are breached, or to protect the service or its users.
• On termination, your right to use Golbi ends, and your data may be deleted after a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
• You can request an export of your organization's data before closing the account.

Resolving disagreements

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Golbi operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

Updates to these terms

Golbi may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the date above. Continued use of Golbi after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
