SportsEngine was acquired by PlayMetrics from Versant in May 2026 and now sits in a portfolio alongside Sports Connect, Crossbar, LeagueLineup and Goalline. Ownership changes like this tend to bring roadmap and pricing questions during integration, which is why so many boards are pricing a move at their next renewal.
What can come across, and how you get it here.
There is no automatic import from SportsEngine, and we will not market one. Each record type below names the rung of our migration ladder it is reached from — the self-serve rungs are free to do yourself, and the hands-on rungs are a paid, quoted service.
People and households
Rung 1 — self-serve CSV import. Members, guardians, emails, and phone numbers, with parents linked to children so family privacy rules apply from the first day.
Teams and rosters
Rung 1 — self-serve CSV import. Your teams, age groups, and who is on them, with coach and staff role labels.
Schedules
Rung 1 — self-serve CSV import. Practices, games, and locations, brought in from a calendar or schedule export.
Dues balances
Rung 2 — guided migration kit. Paid and unpaid state plus external payment references, loaded as the starting point of your private dues ledger.
A messy multi-brand export
Rung 3 or 4 — assisted or white-glove, a paid service. If your records are spread across more than one brand in the portfolio, we map and de-duplicate the files with you before anything is written.

How boards usually sequence the move.
Most clubs plan the move across a season boundary: export and import people, households, and teams while the old season is winding down, rebuild forms and public pages next, then bring dues balances over last so the ledger opens on a clean number. Assisted mapping adds a review pass before anything is written.
Switching from SportsEngine: common questions.
Is there a one-click import from SportsEngine?
No, and we will not market one. No vendor exports everything one-for-one. You export the files SportsEngine gives you, and we tell you exactly which columns map where. When the export is messy, assisted mapping and white-glove migration are available as paid, quoted services.
Can we move mid-season?
You can, but most boards do not. A season boundary means rosters, dues, and schedules are all at a natural reset point, so there is less to reconcile twice. If you have to move mid-season, start with people and households and leave dues until the current cycle closes.
What happens to money families already paid?
It stays where it was processed. Past charges and payout history live in the old platform's reports, and stored payment credentials never transfer. Balances come across as notes so your ledger opens on the right number.
Do we lose our public website?
Your existing site stays up until you switch the domain. Golbi gives you a public site alongside your private admin workspace, so you can build and preview the new pages before anything points at them.
What does the move cost?
The self-serve rungs — templates, exports, and imports you run yourself — are free to do. Assisted mapping and white-glove migration are paid, quoted setup services, priced against how messy the export is rather than sold as a flat button.
